Can I Use A Vista Theme On XP?
So, you just can’t bring yourself to upgrade to Vista, but you love the look and want to know if you can put a Vista theme on xp computers. The answer is: Absolutely! There are Vista themes specifically for Windows xp operating system computers. Downloading a theme pack will allow you to make either minor tweaks or sweeping changes to the look of your xp. The new Vista theme on xp computers gives the slick appearance you’re looking for.
Installing a Vista theme on xp computers is not as clean or elegant as it would be for installation on a Vista system of course. Generally speaking, you need to install a program to help download and install the Vista themes for an xp based computer. It does add an additional step to the whole process, but if you like the look of Vista like I do, it’s all worth it.
Much of the process is the same as the process for getting new Vista themes on a Vista system. You first want to research and find a theme that you really like. Certainly the choices are fewer, but with a little research, you are bound to find something that fits your tastes.
If you are hesitant at first to tackle a full theme change, you may want to consider getting your feet wet by downloading something like an icon pack which will change the look of your Windows xp buttons to buttons with more of a Vista “feel”.
I have not been ready to upgrade to Vista, but I really like the sleek look so I’m downloading what I need to put a Vista theme on xp computers in my home.
