Changing Windows 7 Themes

Windows 7 has a ton of great themes to choose from. You can change the whole look and layout of your desktop by installing various themes. There are some pre-packaged with your windows software, some available for download by Microsoft and a whole range of 3rd party themes to use for Windows 7.

Changing out your theme is easy. First you have to pick a theme and make sure it is installed in your themes. If you are using one of the pre-installed themes you can skip this step and move on to activating it.

If you are using a theme from somewhere else on the internet you have to start by downloading it. It should place the files in your theme directory. Once you have the theme in your theme directory it is time to activate it.

Activating a Windows 7 theme is quick and easy. Navigate to your desktop right click and choose “personalize.” Once the box pops open you will be given a list of all the themes that are installed and available for use.

Simply pick the one you want and click on it then hit the apply button. Once you go back to your desktop you should be able to see your new theme installed and being used by Windows.

Windows 7 themes can be used just to add a little color to your desktop or add functionality. You can find business themes, nature themes, branded themes and so much more available to decorate your computer.
